Andy Carroll's future at West Ham United is tied to manager Sam Allardyce.
The Daily Express says Big Sam's long-term future is uncertain because the Hammers' board is refusing to discuss a new contract with him until their Premier League status for next season has been assured.
If Allardyce goes then Carroll would join him, the striker having only been persuaded to move to West Ham on loan from Liverpool because of his admiration for the manager.
Newcastle are interested in taking Carroll back to Tyneside, but not at the £17million West Ham are willing to pay.
