Carroll: This is why I joined Liverpool

Andy Carroll says his winner for Liverpool at Wembley was why he moved to Anfield.

The No.9 headed a dramatic winner as Kenny Dalglish's charges came from a goal down to beat Everton and afterwards, he dedicated his goal to the memory of the 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives at Hillsborough.

Carroll told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It's a great feeling scoring a goal at any time but with it being at Wembley and against Everton, it's even better.

"That's why you come to Liverpool FC to play in games like this and you want to win things. Getting to Wembley twice is amazing.

"We have to dedicate this win to all the Hillsborough families."
