West Ham United has revealed that Andy Carroll will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
The 26-year old centre-forward has been forced to undergo surgery on his injured left knee and will now be unavailable for the remainder of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign.
Carroll, who sustained a torn medial ligament in Wednesday night's 0-0 draw with Southampton, has made 14 league appearances this season for five goals. He will have the operation on Tuesday after seeing a specialist today.
