Andy Carroll is confident of getting along with Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard.
Carroll left Newcastle United on Monday, where he was close with club captain Kevin Nolan.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Obviously he's a great captain, he's a leader, he brings everyone together and I'm sure I'll get along well with him."
On new teammate Luis Suarez scoring in victory over Stoke City, Carroll added: "He showed what he can do. He got a goal and was lively around the pitch and it was great to see that."
