"When I joined Inter my first priority was to get my career back on track," the 29-year-old told InterNOS.
"To do that I think you need to be working with serious professionals and a serious club - and I didn't have that before coming here.
"My aim is to help the team, do well and perhaps in future become Inter's first-choice 'keeper.
"However, at the moment, I have to accept that I have an immense 'keeper ahead of me in the pecking order. And I'm happy being second choice."
