Gabriel Obertan has been warned he will be subject of huge wind-ups from Manchester United teammates after his glaring miss on debut against Blackburn Rovers.
Obertan missed a clear chance during his second-half cameo.
"It was great for him to finally play," Carrick told MUTV. "It was disappointing for him not to take his chance but hopefully he'll get many more here. I think he might get a little bit of stick for his miss. We can't let him off for that!"
