Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick admits their lowly points tally has shocked him.
Not since 1986 have United made such a dismal beginning to their League season. With just three wins from 10 games, they have managed only 13 points.
Carrick told the Manchester Evening News: "Our points tally is very disappointing because it is nowhere near good enough for us.
"But at the same time there are signs that we believe things can come good.
"We have shown some good signs. We are disappointed after [the City result] but not disheartened."
