Manchester United veteran Michael Carrick has described an in-form Anthony Martial as 'frightening'.
Martial has endured a bit of a difficult campaign so far but the young Frenchman managed to remind everybody of his wonderful qualities by scoring a brace in United's 4-1 victory over West Ham United in the midweek EFL Cup quarter-final.
Teammate Carrick was left extremely impressed by Martial's performance against West Ham and following the game, the veteran has hailed the qualities of the 20-year-old.
Carrick said: "The ability and attributes he has got are frightening at times.
"When he is on fire he is a threat for anyone.
"He started the game terrifically well (against West Ham). He grew as the game went on. It is great to see him playing like that. He is fully confident and believing.
"There is plenty more to come from him, which is a good sign for us."
