Michael Carrick insists Manchester United do not need to go shopping during the winter market.

Carrick said: "Five Premier League wins in a row is good form.

" We have a very strong squad and, when you think of the players not involved at Sunderland, there are a lot of options available to us.

"The transfer window may be coming up. But we have players like Jonathan Evans, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes already waiting in the wings."
