Carrick lauds ‘professional’ Man Utd job in France

Michael Carrick was pleased with Manchester United's performance at St Etienne this evening.

The Red Devils won their way through to the Europa League Round of 16 with a 4-0 aggregate courtesy of the 1-0 victory in France.

Despite being forced off in the second half with a calf injury, veteran midfielder Carrick was over the moon for the club and also grateful to the travelling fans.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the only goal of the second leg at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard as United now look ahead to Friday night's Round of 16 draw before they meet Southampton in Sunday's EFL Cup final.
