Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick admits it was exciting being part of their 7-1 thumping of Blackburn Rovers.
United demolished Sam Allardyce's side with an almost flawless display of attacking football and fluency, with Carrick admitting "it's nice when everything comes together".
He told MUTV: "Going forward, we looked really dangerous every time we attacked. The speed the attacking players were playing at - the one and two-touch football they played and the runs they made - was brilliant. The intensity and the fluidity of the attacking play was great.
"It's what we work towards and what we strive for. We set high standards and we want to keep hitting those levels. [Against Blackburn] we did that, but we want to keep doing that every week.
"We know it's not always possible, but if we perform to near enough that level every week we won't be far away."
