Senior Manchester United players have held crunch talks with underfire teammate Paul Pogba.
The Daily Star says Michael Carrick and David De Gea have held showdown talks with Pogba in a bid to save his United career.
The duo had a private chat with the superstar midfielder to urge him to resolve his differences with boss Jose Mourinho.
A club source said: “There isn't a problem with his training or anything like that, while all the stuff that surrounds him off the pitch is being used as a convenient excuse against him.
“But there are problems there for him and two of the senior players took it upon themselves to speak to him in the hope it would help.
“The concern is that the issue appears to be getting worse and in danger of having a negative effect on the squad."
