Michael Carrick is clinging to the faintest of hopes that Manchester United can retain their Premiership crown. United are four points behind Chelsea, with only four games remaining.
Realistically, this weekend appears to be their last chance to breathe fresh life into their flagging challenge given they must travel to Eastlands for the Manchester derby.
"We are not giving up," he said.
"We still have that lifeline and whilst we still have half a chance, we will continue to fight.
"The game could throw up something different again.
"You just have to hope that we can get the right result and things will swing back in our favour."
