Jamie Carragher believes Jose Mourinho would be a brave man to overlook Marcus Rashford at Manchester United next season.
The former Liverpool defender feels Louis van Gaal's reign at Old Trafford was successful when you look at the development of some of the club's youngsters, particularly teenage striker Rashford.
Incoming Red Devils boss Mourinho has a penchant for playing tried and tested stars ahead of youth promotion but Carragher feels Rashford has quickly put the runs on the board and cannot be dismissed by the former Chelsea manager.
"As a young player, you're always concerned and van Gaal thought highly of him," Carragher said on Sky Sports News HQ.
"But now he's got to prove himself again. But if he continues in the same vein of form, he will be fine.
"The way he's playing, you can't leave him out no matter who the manager is."
