Jamie Carragher believes a fully fit Daniel Sturridge is one of the best strikers in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old returned to form with a match-winning brace for Liverpool in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Saturday in just his second start after undergoing hip surgery late last season.
Ex-Reds defender Carragher is a massive fan of Sturridge and believes the former Chelsea man is only behind Manchester City's Sergio Aguero as the best attackers in England.
"He has the coolness in front of goal and if Liverpool can get him fully fit and firing it's only really [Sergio] Aguero who is a better striker than him in the league," he said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
"In the first half against Villa he looked like a player coming back to fitness but he came alive in the second half. He is the icing on the cake and can provide that class finish.
"The rest of his game doesn't involve too much but he makes a massive difference at that end of the pitch for Liverpool.
"There were great signs with the partnership with (Danny) Ings."
