Carragher: Now its Liverpool players turn

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says it's time to start delivering on the pitch - starting with victory in today's derby.

Carra is confident both sides will rise above their respective positions but admits three points would be a timely boost for Roy Hodgson's men.

"There's always a lot riding on it for obvious reasons. With this one the losing team will obviously be in the bottom three. The other crowd will probably give them a bit of stick about that so maybe it puts a little extra edge on it," Carragher told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"Both sides started off with aspirations of challenging for the top four and I still don't think that's out of the question. The table is very tight and there is still quite a long way to go.

"I think Everton and Liverpool are still two of the best teams in the country and it's up to us to prove that on the pitch. Hopefully we can do that a little bit more on Sunday."
