Jamie Carragher insists it would be "no disaster" if Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League knockouts.
Liverpool face Debrecen tonight in a must-win game.
"We are desperate to get through, but I don't think you could call it a disaster if we don't," Carragher said. "Because we have done so well in recent seasons, people outside the club tend to take it a bit for granted that Liverpool will get into the knockout stages.
"But it isn't easy. Manchester United didn't make it a few years ago and Barcelona have had a couple of setbacks this season. They aren't sure of getting through, either, so it shows how well we have done in the past."
