Jamie Carragher is of the belief that Real Madrid landed an enormous bargain when signing Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.
The German midfielder joined the Spanish giants from the Bavarian powerhouse in the summer of 2014 despite interest from Manchester United and Carragher's former club Liverpool.
Inspired by Kroos' mesmerising midfield display in Germany's 2-0 win over Ukraine at Euro2016 recently, Carragher spoke glowingly of the 26-year-old who made the move to the Santiago Bernabeu two years ago.
“Look at Kroos, who hypnotised Ukraine at times. He found the target with 104 of his 112 passes in Lille," said Carragher, analysing Kroos for the Daily Mail.
“Manchester United dithered when they had a chance to sign Kroos, who also rejected interest from Liverpool.
“That enabled Real Madrid to take him for 'just' £25million."
