Carragher: Leno should play ahead of Cech at Arsenal

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has questioned Arsenal boss Unai Emery sticking with Petr Cech in goal.

Carragher believes Bernd Leno could be better suited to Emery's style of football.

He wrote for the Telegraph: "He is one of the Premier League's greatest keepers, but he was programmed to kick long and seek out Didier Drogba when he first came to England.

"Cech had the second most touches of any Arsenal player last weekend, double what is normally the case.

"Is this healthy for a keeper who has never been renowned for being comfortable with his feet?"

"Perhaps Arsenal's new goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, will be suited to how the manager wants to play," Carragher added.

"If so, it is strange he was not instantly installed as the number one."
