Carragher: I would love coaching career with Liverpool

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher knows he's now in the twilight of his career.

However, he still feels he has a lot to offer the Reds cause and would relish the opportunity to continue his love affair with the club in a coaching capacity once he has hung up his boots.

"That's something to look at in a few years' time," he told liverpoolfc.tv.

"I am taking my badges and if the opportunity comes along I'd be delighted, but I wouldn't want to step on someone's toes.

"I've played for Liverpool all of my life and it'd be a dream to do that after I finish playing. If I can learn off the likes of Kenny (Dalglish) and his experience, all the better.

"Once you finish playing you are starting from scratch so there'd be no better place to learn and no better people to learn from, than here."
