Jamie Carragher has made it clear he'd like to remain with Liverpool after he retires.
Brendan Rodgers has backed the defender to prolong his playing career beyond this season and insists Liverpool's future must contain a role for him.
Carragher said: "If I did stay on as a coach, which I'd love to do, I'm sure I would learn a lot from Brendan. But I am not worried about or even thinking about retirement just yet.
"When you play for Liverpool, who are a massive club, every day is fantastic, really intense - especially for me being a local lad."
