Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admits a fully-fit Steven Gerrard lifts everyone at the club.
Carragher admits no-one can be guaranteed a place in Kenny Dalglish's first XI but feels having Gerrard at their disposal can only benefit the club as a whole.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "There has been a lot of talk about the players we have brought in and rightly so. But there is also the added bonus of knowing that Stevie is coming back to help out as well.
"He is simply one of the best players around".
