Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is encouraged by their current form.
But Carragher believes the mini-revival can only be attributed to Brendan Rodgers' midfield, arguing that there was still plenty of room for improvement, particularly in both penalty areas.
"For most the season, Liverpool have been toothless in every area, but at the moment they're toothless in both boxes, which are the most important places on a football pitch," he told Sky Sports.
"But between the two boxes however, from what I saw yesterday, that performance was a sign of what I saw from Liverpool last season.
"Fast possession, people running forward and penetration... but there are still problems in the boxes."
