Jamie Carragher is supremely confident that he still has plenty to contribute to the Liverpool team.
The veteran defender, who could be offered the chance to step into an ambassadorial role when his career ends like captain Steven Gerrard, has been left on the bench by Kenny Dalglish in recent weeks with the Reds boss preferring Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger in central defence but he insists he has plenty to offer.
"But that's not something I want to talk about at the minute. I still want to concentrate on playing. I want to get as much out of my career as I possibly can.
"We will speak about something in the future. I'm the same as Steven - we love playing for the club and we just want to help in any way that we can.""If the manager has mentioned it (an ambassador role) I'm sure we will discuss it in the future," he said.
