Serie A new boys Carpi have signed Catania midfielder Raphael Martinho.

The 27-year-old moved to Italy in 2010, and was co-owned between Verona and the Elefanti for two seasons, before returning to Sicily last summer.

“Carpi FC announces the signing of Raphael Martinho from Catania," a statement on the Biancorossi's website announced.

“The Brazilian midfielder has signed a contract which will tie him to the Biancorossi for the next three seasons.

“In his time in Italy, Martinho has worn the shirt of Catania, Cesena and Verona, making over 100 appearances in Serie A, Serie B and the Coppa Italia."
