Carney set for first training session with Blackpool
David Carney is set to undergo his first training session with his new club Blackpool today.
The 26-year old Australian international signed with the Seasiders on deadline day of the recent transfer window and will link up with his new teammates for the first time since leaving Dutch club FC Twente.
Carney will be joined by Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Kingson and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway expects the duo to add some quality to his squad.
"Hopefully we have added real quality, and with those two arriving I'm delighted with the squad we have,” he said.
Blackpool have recorded a win, a draw and a loss in their return to the English Premier League and face Newcastle United at St James’ Park this weekend.
