Carlos Varela continuing trials with DC United

Spanish midfielder Carlos Varela is continuing his trials with DC United.

DCU coach Ben Olsen says scheduling has prevented the staff from properly assessing the experienced midfielder.

"Numbers, an extra body that can help us in the stretch," Olsen said. "Just because we are out of competitions doesn't mean we are not going to try to continue winning games."
