Sacked Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti has cooled talk of a return to the Premier League.

Ancelotti has been linked with former club Chelsea and Everton since his axe by Bayern.

But the 58-year-old insisted he has no immediate plans to return to work, and sympathised with his pal and countryman Antonio Conte.

Ancelotti told Radio Anch'Io Sport: "I get linked with a new club every day. Recently it was Chelsea.

"That angered my friend Antonio Conte, I am often in touch with him, and there is no truth in the rumour.

"Since then there has also been talk of me coaching the Chinese national team, or managing Everton.

"But at the moment I don't know what my future will be.

"Let's talk about it again next June. Right now I am going to take a rest."

Ancelotti was last in England in 2011 before his dismissal at Chelsea.
