Carlise United boss Greg Abbott hopes to extend the loan of Manchester City youngster Jeremy Helan.

The 19-year-old joined the Cumbrians for an initial month on 14 October, and made his professional debut in the 3-0 win at Yeovil Town.

"If Manchester City want it to continue, we will gladly do that," Abbott told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"I think it's good for him, I've told City that and they agree with me."

The Clairefontaine academy graduate, who can play in both defence and midfield, has represented France up to Under-19 level.
