Carlisle accept sale of Newcastle, Middlesbrough target Westwood

Carlisle United are prepared to cash in on goalkeeper Kieran Westwood.

Contract talks between Westwood, 23, and the Cumbrians have stalled and the player's existing deal expires next summer.

Boss John Ward told BBC Radio Cumbria: "We've had tentative enquiries from two or three clubs already.

"But we are resigned to something more concrete possibly happening in the next week or so."

Middlesbrough and Newcastle United are following Westwood.
