Carles Alena is ready to pen new terms with Barcelona.

The midfielder has been linked with Tottenham this week.

However, Sport says Alena, who had just one year left on his deal, has reached an agreement to renew his contract with Barcelona for three more seasons.

There were a number of offers for him to leave Barça, but in the end he's accepted the offer from the Catalan club.

Alena, who is represented by Ivan de la Peña and Carles Puyol, will sign his new deal in the coming weeks as he is currently in Ibiza enjoying some time off after helping Barça B achieve promotion back to the second tier of Spanish football.
