Aston Villa striker John Carew is on course for the most productive goalscoring form of his career. However, the Norway international would prefer the Villans reach next season's Europa League at least.

"I am really enjoying it. I've got 12 goals and I think the best I've managed in a season is 15 or 16. I will try to get my best tally," the striker told The Birmingham Mail.

"It is going well but the most important thing is that we win and who scores is not important. If I can have an assist, that gives me the same pleasure as scoring myself. I just want to see us winning.

"We just have to continue believing in what we are doing."
