John Carew has told Gareth Barry he can achieve all he wants in the game by staying at Aston Villa.

He said: "After finishing sixth last season and qualifying for the UEFA Cup, the next target is to break into the top four.

"We will have a bigger and stronger squad this season, so there is no reason to think we cannot climb another two places."

Carew, who has signed a deal to stay until June 2011, added: "All the boys love Gareth and want him to stay."
