Billy McKinlay and Robbie Stockdale will be offered the chance to lead ChampionshipSunderland on a caretaker basis following Simon Grayson's sacking, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News understands first-team coaches McKinlay and Stockdale took training on Wednesday morning as chief executive Martin Bain searches for Grayson's replacement.
