Leeds United caretaker manager Neil Redfearn helped his ambition of managing the Championship club full time with a 3-0 win at Bristol City on Saturday.
"What I want to do is make sure I do as well as I can while I'm here and in charge. If it is me great, if it isn't I will support whoever comes in."
Leeds announced on Friday they had been "inundated with credible approaches for the vacant managerial position."
The former Scarborough and Northwich Victoria manager added: "It's important they are up for every game and that they are organised and in good condition. That's what we did on Saturday and that's what we'll focus on this week for the Brighton game and so on until I'm told otherwise." "I'm employed by the club and that won't change," Redfearn told the club's official website. "I'm directed to by the people above and the powers that be will decide on whoever the next manager is.
