Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd was delighted with praise from his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Before last night's FA Cup defeat, Bothroyd was compared with Manchester United legend Eric Cantona and Inter Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic by Wenger.
The former Gunners forward told arsenal.com: "It's a big compliment from him.
"I don't think there's a manager better than Arsène Wenger in the world for what he does with players and how he transforms them. Emmanuel Adebayor is a classic example; maybe he wasn't the best technically but you look at him now, he is world class. A compliment like that coming from Arsène Wenger made me so happy. My mum called me and said 'have you seen what Arsène said about you in the paper?' and I thought she was joking!"
