Cardiff City are yet to make a bid for Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson.

The Evening Chronicle says Williamson must wait to see if he is allowed to join Cardiff City - as Newcastle United decide whether they are still in the hunt for a centre-back.

The Welsh club are still keen on the defender who is open to being reunited with his former boss Malky Mackay.

The pair worked together during Mackay's stint as Watford boss.
