The Daily Record is reporting that Cardiff City are monitoring the progress of Dundee United duo Ryan Gauld and John Souttar.
It is believed that Bluebirds chief scout Tommy Johnson watched the pair in the weekend's 4-1 win over Heart of Midlothian.
17-year old attacking midfielder Gauld has been impressive in recent weeks, which has also attracted the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United, while 17-year old centre-back Souttar was courted by Sunderland, Everton and QPR in the summer transfer window.
