Cardiff City attacker Craig Bellamy is in the frame for Chris Coleman's Wales job.
The Daily Express says Bellamy, who will play his last international on Welsh soil tonight, has his supporters within the FAW as they consider Coleman's future.
Appointing Bellamy, 34, would be a huge gamble, but he is expected to retire from playing completely at the end of this season and has been doing his coaching badges.
Bellamy said this week the current Wales squad is the best for over 50 years and he would surely relish the challenge.
