Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has reportedly handed in his resignation at the League One club.
Sky Sports suggests that the 53-year old is set to depart Brisbane Road in order to take the reins at Championship club Cardiff City.
Slade has been a target for the Bluebirds since they parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last week and it appears as though he could soon be on his way to south Wales to step into the role previously filled by the Manchester United great.
Under Slade, London-based Orient have finished third in League One (2013/14), seventh (2012/13), 20th (2011/12) and seventh (2010/11). The O's currently sit 17th in England's third tier.
