Kenny Miller will stay with the Scotland squad for their Euro2012 qualifying double header despite a groin injury.
The Cardiff City striker is under a cloud for Saturday's meeting with Liechtenstein in Vaduz and Tuesday's clash with Spain in Alicante but Scotland number two Peter Houston insists he will be given every chance to prove his fitness.
"Kenny Miller will stay with the squad," said the Dundee United boss.
"He's had a scan and there is a small tear in his groin, but it is something he is recovering from.
"To be honest, I think he will be fit for the Spain game on Tuesday.
"But there is a clearly a doubt about him for this weekend.
"Everyone knows their own body and he was feeling a lot better even on the Sunday than he did when it happened last Saturday."
