Malky Mackay has heaped praise on the Cardiff City supporters for their backing during his reign as manager.
The Welsh club sits 16th on the Premier League table following Thursday's 3-0 loss to Southampton at home and despite the negative result, Mackay was full of positive words for the fans as his job remains uncertain after a war of words with owner Vincent Tan.
"Overall we have competed in the Premier League really well. It is easier when everyone is pulling in the same direction," he told Sky Sports.
"The fans have been great but I think they realise how hard me and my staff have been working here."
