Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay was over the moon for David Marshall after his performance in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Tottenham.
The 28-year old Scottish goalkeeper was at the top of his game against Spurs, producing massive saves from Roberto Soldado, Christian Eriksen, Paulinho and Gylfi Sigurdsson's efforts, before succumbing to Paulinho's injury-time winner.
Despite going down to Tottenham, Mackay was thrilled with the form Marshall showed on the weekend as well as what he has produced so far this season.
"David is a top goalkeeper, I think their goalkeeper (Hugo Lloris) cost £9million and I look at my keeper today and see him step up," he said.
"He was the best in the Championship and he is in the Premier League, back in the Scotland squad and he has looked so comfortable in the games we have played against some top teams."
