Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan does not want to repeat the mistakes he made in the past regarding transfer spending.
The club were promoted to the Premier League under manager Neil Warnock.
Tan spoke with talkSPORT about the past season, the club and the transfer budget that will be handed to the manager. He praised his manager and players for getting to the Premier League.
His manager Warnock also talked about transfer spending with talkSPORT and had the following to say.
Warnock said: "He's not going to go like he did last time, he wants to be sensible.
"He wants to do the sensible way, he's not going to go silly - I know that.
"They run the club, I'm just going to enjoy it. For me, it's like a bonus year.
"So whatever I'm given I'm going to spend, and whatever wages I've got I'll use them, and we'll do the best we can."
