Gary Medel says he's playing for Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay.
The Chile midfielder moved to Cardiff in the summer from Sevilla.
âCardiff City play a different system then I was used to at Boca or Seville,â Medel told the Western Mail. âThey both had plenty of possession and pass the ball more often.
âWe play in a counter-attacking style at Cardiff and weâve done pretty well so far.
âMalky Mackay brought me to Cardiff and I am doing all I can to repay his confidence in me.
âIn the beginning Cardiff were trying to adapt in a new division and we have been doing that.
âItâs important to me that I play well for Cardiff and that is nothing to do with the fee paid for me.
âI train hard to make sure I can deliver, but that is not to do with the money, thatâs just the way I am.
âPremier League football is highly competitive. Itâs not like some where only two or three clubs and competing for the top positions. Here you can win a couple and be third - or lose one and drop.
âItâs highly competitive and I enjoy that.â
