Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall is delighted for Tom Heaton after Burnley's promotion.
Former Manchester United keeper Heaton spent two years at Cardiff from 2010 to 2012.
"Tom's a Premier League goalkeeper and I'm absolutely delighted for him," said Marshall to WalesOnline.
"He deserves to be playing at the top level. Tom did really well for Cardiff, particularly in that run to the 2012 Carling Cup final.
"He played in every round and was absolutely outstanding all the way and against Liverpool in the final at Wembley."
