Cardiff granted permission for talks with West Brom's Odemwingie

Cardiff City are in talks with West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie.

The Baggies have granted Cardiff permission to hold transfer talks with the Nigeria international.

His agent Rob Segal arrived in the Welsh capital to discuss personal teams on a deal believed to be worth around £4million.

Stoke City were interested in the Baggies outcast, and although the Potters were nervous about the signing because of his indiscipline last season, boss Mark Hughes wants him at the Britannia.
