Cardiff City have played down talk of competing for Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo.

The Western Mail says Benfica insist it will cost £15m to prise Cardozo away from the Portuguese club with Manchester City and Fenerbahce among those linked with a move.

The high fee and potential wages plus his age mean only a limited number of clubs will be in a position to make a bid.
