Cardiff City are in new contract talks with striker Ross McCormack.

Birmingham City are keen on the Scot and Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo: "We are in talks with Ross about extending his deal. And we expect to be able to announce news within the next few weeks.

"When we signed Ross I agreed to review his contract if he had a good first season in the Championship. Everybody, I'm sure, will accept Ross had a good season. We are currently negotiating on level of pay and length of contract. Those talks, we hope, will be concluded over the next few weeks."
