Cardiff are chasing Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams.

The Mirror says Cardiff are ready to prove their ambition by battling Manchester City to sign Welsh ­sensation Williams.

City are leading the chase to sign Williams after sending assistant-manager David Platt to watch the Crystal Palace midfielder three times.

Arsenal and Everton are also ready to bid for 19-year-old Williams, but that will not put off Cardiff - who have ­secured promotion to the ­Premier League.
